Swedish Massage

Swedish massage uses five styles of strokes and has shown to be helpful in reducing pain, joint stiffness, and improving function. The style is referred to as “classic massage”

Infant and Prenatal Massage

Jade Stone Massage

Cold or water-heated stones to apply pressure and heat to the body. Stones are placed along the recipient’s back, retaining heat which then deeply penetrates into the muscles, releasing tension.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue is a type of massage used to access deeper muscles and connective tissue to help decrease tension and scar tissue.

Most commonly used for chronic injuries that involve the neck, back and shoulders but can be used on any area of the body.

Indian Head Massage

A form of relaxation massage that focuses on areas of the face, head, neck, shoulders, upper back and upper arms. Releases stress and tension.

Foam Rolling Massage

Sports Massage

Sports massage usually focuses on a certain area of the body depending on the activity or sport involved. It can be done Pre or Post depending on the goals of the client. Pre event can help increase flexibility which will ultimately enhance their performance. Post can help in the recovery to help restore the tissues back to their normal state. Regular massage can help manage and maintain healthy muscles and prevent injury.

TMJ Massage

Pain from a jaw injury, arthritis, or fatigue grinding or clenching your teeth can be addressed with TMJ massage therapy.

Relaxation Massage

Relaxation usually consists of Swedish Massage which includes gentle, smooth continuous techniques. The pressure used is usually based on the patient’s preference usually light pressure. The main goal is to increase relaxation and decrease stress!

Cupping

Cupping is the combination of massage movements and negative pressure with the use of a suction device on the skin. A cup is positioned at the area to be treated and, depending on the type of cups being used; a vacuum is created within the cup to draw the skin and underlying tissue into the cup. The produced vacuum creates a suction effect that increases blood and lymphatic circulation systemically and to the local area, relaxes muscle tissue and support, draws stagnation, pathogenic factors and toxins out of the body and releases a myriad of pain causing factors.

The intended suction can range from light to heavy. This, along with the movements performed and areas treated by the therapist will produce stimulating (toning) or sedating (draining) effects. It is very important that therapists be able to effectively assess the condition (physical, mental and emotional) of their clients, before the procedure, so they employ the proper application of the cups to produce the desired outcome.
