Alissa Colborne

Alissa (she/her) graduated with honors from the Canadian College of Massage & Hydrotherapy (CCMH) in Halifax, Nova Scotia. After experiencing the healing effects of massage therapy at a personal level, she knew it was the right career choice for her.

During her studies, Alissa worked in the student intern clinic, participating in relaxation, treatment focused, sports, invisible illness, and neurology clinics. She has experience treating various conditions such as Parkinson's, Multiple Sclerosis, Fibromyalgia, chronic pain, TMJD, nerve compressions, symptoms of stress and anxiety, and more. Some techniques Alissa incorporates during treatments include: myofascial release, General Swedish Massage, trigger point release, proprioceptive techniques, and joint mobilizations.

Alissa believes that promoting whole body relaxation is a key component to treating conditions that have manifested in the body. She addresses her patient's needs with empathy, compassion, and understanding. She thrives off helping her client's reach their goals, through personalized treatments, education, and encouragement. Alissa is passionate about creating a safe, inclusive, and non-judgemental space, for all people.

Alissa grew up in Pugwash, a small fishing village in Nova Scotia's Northern Shore. She moved to the Halifax area in 2015, and found her home in Tantallon in 2019. Outside of the clinic you can find her at the gym, hiking with her two tiny dogs, baking sweets, and creating art.
